Cutting Directions

From the Tranquility Basket Panel 1:
Cut on the dotted black line and trim ONE basket block to 16-1/2” square.

From the background fabric, cut:
(32) 2-1/2” x 4-1/2” rectangles
(288) 2-1/2” squares
(128) 1-1/2” squares

Stars
From EACH of the (8) assorted light blue, gray and cream prints, cut:
(1) 4-1/2” square
(8) 2-1/2” squares

Diamonds
From the navy print, cut:
(32) 4-1/2” squares

2” squares
From the medium blue print, cut:
(64) 2-1/2” squares

1” squares
From EACH of the (2) light blue prints, cut:
(64) 1-1/2” squares

Outer Border
Prior to cutting, measure the center of the quilt vertically and horizontally to determine the lengths of the inner and outer border strips. It may be necessary to make adjustments to the measurements below:

From the inner border fabric, cut and piece:
(2) strips 1-1/2” x 48-1/2” for the sides of the quilt
(2) strips 1-1/2” x 50-1/2” for the top and bottom of the quilt

From the outer border fabric, cut and piece:
(2) strips 6-1/2” x 50-1/2” for the sides of the quilt
(2) strips 6-1/2” x 62-1/2” for the top and bottom of the quilt

From the binding, cut:
(7) 2-1/2” x width of fabric (WOF) strips
