Have you been following along as we, along with other guest bloggers, revisit Fat Quarter Shop’s TOP 10 YouTube videos for 2015?
The “Layers of Charm” quilt pattern could not get or be any simpler! (1) Layer Cake and (1) Charm Pack come together quickly and with ease and before you know it, a finished quilt of 57-1/2” square is done! NO cutting – just sit down and start sewing!!
I did encounter a little bit of cutting, by choice, since I wanted to use fabrics from the Steel Collection. You can do the same too, if you like. Simply cut (36) 10” squares and (36) 5” squares and start sewing.
Confused by the title above - MOGO? What’s a MOGO? In the video, Kimberly trims the layered corner of the Layer Cake with a Charm Square . . . hang on to the TRIMMED corner and sew on the diagonal and press open. Sew the blocks together to make ANOTHER quilt; a Mini Quilt!
MOGO – Make One Get One
Let me know what you think? Would you “recycle” your trimmed corners into a MOGO? Or simply discard them? Weigh in, in the comment section below.
Hmmm, I wonder if any of the other guest bloggers turned their trimmed corners into a MOGO or simply tossed them.
